Why Engaging With Abusers is Critical

We have seen how there is no magic trick by which we can make domestic violence disappear, simply by moving it around. We must also understand that the old "ambulance at the bottom of the cliff" approach that our communities seem to keep landing on is not true prevention. To truly prevent domestic abuse will require us to get close to the ones doing the abuse, and to engage them in a way which is able to lead to change. This is what true prevention means.
